Church as a service.

The LCM is a proposal for reactivating an underutilized space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, a neighborhood that is currently undergoing many dynamic changes. The Lutheran Church of the Messiah (LCM) is a small, struggling congregation that practices their faith in a historic, masonry building that it has occupied since its erection in 1908. With so much history and space, the LCM has been in great need of activity, participation, and funding. After surveying and researching the church, the community, and the congregation, I identified three entry points for possible change and growth.
