A farmer's market as not a privilege.
Houston Farmers Market is a response to decreasing Houston’s energy footprint on the world. Farmer’s markets have a presence in Houston, however do not impact the community like they do in cities such as Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York City. Houston Farmers Market reconsiders the current market locations by proposing new locations over time that are strategically defined by an overlapping of historical precedence, green space, public space, and economic planning. Houston Farmers Market seeks to define farmer’s market locations that accommodate each market’s goals and the communities surrounding them.
