Books as a layer of spatial fabric.

The Frame House shelves are composed of walnut veneer shelves, screwed into four custom steel frames that are embedded into the terrazzo floor below and the ceiling frame above. A custom steel rolling ladder attaches to the steel frames allowing the use of all fourteen feet of shelf space. The goal of this project was to maximize storage space, seamlessly integrate structure into the existing aesthetic of the house without compromising the existing walnut veneer wall, terrazzo floor, and coffered ceiling.
